To be very clear: I am completely outraged by the Saturday, October 7, 2023 Palestinian Islamic fundamentalist Hamas’ attack on Israel. Absolutely nothing justifies such brutality!
But in my opinion, the Israeli response has been to carry out extremely savage retaliatory bombings and destruction of homes, neighborhoods, and innocent people literally trapped in the very densely populated Gaza Strip. Gaza, about the size of Manhattan, is home to nearly two and a half million men, women, and children. It seems the Israelis have pretentiously, unreasonably, and quixotically warned and “invited” the people of Gaza to “move” and/or “evacuate” to safer places before their homes and businesses are bombed to smithereens.
My question to the Israelis: Where in the hell do you realistically expect these men, women and children to go?
My thought is that this “evacuation farce” appears simply to be a pretext, a strategy and a “smokescreen” to justify a genocide of the Palestinian people.
There has to be another way to achieve lasting peace and mutual respect among those who otherwise have hatred and contempt for each other. There has to be another way; there has to be!!
I hope and pray I’m misinformed and very wrong about the thoughts I’ve shared above about the Israeli response to the October 7th atrocities. 😞
